This campground was built with the outdoor enthusiast and family in mind! We are centrally located within approx. 14 miles from Down Town Murphy, approx. 8 miles from Trail #1 in the Tellico OHV area--and approx. 8 miles from Hiawassee Lake where you can rent a pontoon boat from Shook's Marina and fish, swim or just relax on this pristine lake. Other things to do near by are playing golf at the Cherokee Hills Golf Course, White water rafting, hiking, biking & shopping in down town Murphy or the local flea markets. Our area also offers some of the best scenic motorcycle riding in the country. The roads are curvy like Deals Gap, scenic like the skyway and very low on traffic. You can have you base at our campground and ride for the day and then put your feet up and relax by the creek.
Our Campground is also the closest-best suited and equipped for the off-road enthusiast in the area. We offer outstanding views of the mountains that surround this campground and the tranquility of a small trout stream that runs right past your cabin or camp site. We also have a "ROCK GARDEN" in the middle of the campground to test your skills and rig or just some good entertainment.
Can it get any better than this? Sure can! We also have a large Pavilion with TV and VCR for club or family gatherings. In addition, we have a large grill that we will loan out for those large gatherings staying with us upon request or we can cater that meal for you. We also rent the entire campground out for large private events for clubs, organizations and church functions.
Our campground has an DIY onsite shop that has FULLY ENCLOSED WORK BAYS EQUIPPED WITH LIGHTS, AIR TOOLS, TORCH & WELDING MACHINE WHICH CAN BE RENTED AT AN HOURLY RATE. Who hasn't wished for such a setup when you were away from home and needed to make an emergency repair. If the repair job is too big for you to tackle, there is a local mechanic right next door.
Features include creek side fully equipped cabins, bunk houses with air conditioning and heat, full hookup RV sites, water and electric and primitive campsites. All sites have picnic tables and fire rings. We have two separate bath houses with private individual bathing facilities (hot private showers), convenience store, coin laundry machines, ice, gasoline, LP gas, firewood, bon fire pit and a man-made "Rock Garden".
WE NOW OFFER WILD BLUE BROADBAND "WIFI" INTERNET ACCESS AT NO EXTRA CHARGE FOR THE FOLKS STAYING IN THE CAMPGROUND!
